Southwest canceled my flight tomorrow, please give me advice.?
My flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco tomorrow morning got canceled. Southwest offered alternative flights for no cost. I tried to re-book it to San Jose instead but they wouldn't accommodate this because the destination city is different from what I reserved. Do you think they should have given it to me? I actually live in San Jose but the reason I booked it to SF is because the price was less (about $100 less). What do you guys think? Yes it was the 7 am flight, how did you know? Well I ended up booking a later flight to SFO, I was able to talk to a rep who agreed to book me a flight to SJ without any additional costs, but she warned me that the layover in Denver would be risky because Denver was expecting 6 inches of snow. Thanks for everyone's help!

who told you the flight was canceled? they should have already BOOKED you ion the san jose flight.. did you talk with a southwest agent? maybe that's why you couldn't book the flight because it was already booked for you? did you check your flight Integra?

was it the 7AM flight?? This is their rights, but you should have gone to the airport and talk to a supervisor, and if space are available, they could put you on the San Jose flight. If you talked to someone on the phone, located in Dallas, well....just an operator...!

You bought a ticket for MSP-SFO. Why would you think you would be entitled to be rebooked on MSP-SJC? If they actually did it for you, that's a nice courtesy, but I wouldn't expect it in the future.
