Orbitz.com kayak.com If you are willing to drive to Buffalo, NY and fly from there, you may save money, and in that case also check Southwest.com You may also consider arriving in Oakland, CA or San Francisco, CA, since they are very close to San Jose, if you can find considerably cheaper flights to those places.
