does san jose international airport fly to sydney, australia ? vice versa.?
I live in Australia (Sydney) and am hoping to fly for a visit to California in November. I'm looking (as we all are) for cheap flights to LA or San Jose or San Diego. But every time I type in a search for a flight from Sydney to San Jose or San Diego it mentions flights to LA or SF first.

All airlines going out of SYD to the United States go to Honolulu, San Francisco or Los Angeles. You will either have to take a connecting flight to San Jose, or just fly into SFO. San Jose is 45-60 minutes south of SFO. San Diego is 1.5 - 2 hours south of LAX.

I think because San Jose airport can not handle an airplanes that fly to/from Australia (San Jose is smaller airport and big planes (like a 747 or 777 don't use San Jose Airport besides I don't think San Jose has customs/immigration facilities either while SFO and Los Angeles does
