Is Southwest going to expand their service to SFO and serve Burbank, Ontario and John Wayne?
Many people including myself were so excited about Southwest flying into SFO. To my surprise it doesn't help me very much. The service goes only for LAX to SFO. To fly from Burbank I still must fly to Oakland to visit the bay area. Another option is to fly United from Burbank to SFO and get ripped off. Burbank needs more affordable flights to SFO. Southwest has plenty of affordable flights to San Jose and Oakland.

Southwest tries to avoid the major airports and use secondary airports such as Oakland vs. SFO and Chicago Midway instead of O'Hare. It helps because an airplane is not generating an revenue just sitting on the ground so Southwest wants to efficiently board and deplane its passengers so the next flight can depart. I think Southwest may be slowing its grow or deciding what new routes it wants to open from SFO. With oil being so high right now, airlines want to make sure that their planes have enough passengers. No more flying half full airplanes anymore.
