I'd say, Just how soon you know for certain that you'll be going. The earlier you book your flight the cheaper your tickets are. That will obviously mean a lot of money saved in our already poor economy

As soon as you are going for sure start looking at flights and prices online. Prices can change day to day (sometimes they go up or down a couple hundred dollars) If you are really money conscience get in the habit of checking prices everyday and once the price gets lower than it has been it is time to book it!!! the closer you get to the travel date typically the more expensive it will be. check websites like: www.travelocity.com expedia.com hotwire.com orbitz.com those website check all the major carriers so it easy to compare!
