San Jose to Jaco?
We are looking for the fastest way to get there. I noticed we could take a flight from San Jose to Tambor. From Tambor is there a ferry or boat that could directly take us to Jaco or a nearby city? Thanks!

the bus takes you 3 hours and the trip you are talking about takes you about 4 hours ....if you are renting a car it takes you 2 hours and just take the aguacate road and is a piece of cake ....I hope you enjoy it and have lots of fun ....we just retired and we live in Herradura about 6 miles from Jaco and we love it

No no no, that would take u longer, the best way is rent a car and go straight from San Jose to Jaco, it's like 2 hours...Tambor is in the other direction basically

Other than renting a helicopter, take a taxi. By the time you rent the car you might as well have just taken a bus. A taxi may cost you 75$ but might go for $50 if you can negotiate (in Spanish, preferably).

Where online can I book a commuter flight
Where online can I book a commuter flight?
I am a college student, and I would like to know where online I can book an inexpensive commuter flight between San Jose, CA and LAX or Long Beach. I would rather die than travel by Greyhound again.

Lots of airlines: Southwest Airlines is probably best. U.S. Airways is also best. Actually, come to think of it, Southwest is your best bet. I'm not exactly sure if they'll have straight to san jose, but they definitely have service to San Francisco and Oakland, and you can fly to Burbank if you want a less busy airport than LAX.

Travelocity.com or Expedia.com. Both can show you the least expensive tickets for your flight.

You can book the commuter flight on any airline's web site. There will be a notation next to the flight listing "Flight operated by . . ." and it will list the airline's commuter partner.

Timing - San Jose airport to Manuel Antonio on SANSA
Timing - San Jose airport to Manuel Antonio on SANSA?
Our flight is due to land in Santa Maria International airport at 12:30 p.m. The flight from San Jose to Quepos (SANSA) is 2:10 p.m. We are carrying on our bags, not checking, since the baggage weight max on Sansa is 27 lbs. Will we make our 2:10 p.m. SANSA flight?

yes, it wont take you more than 1 hr tops to go trhu customs, even less since you are carrying bags. ask the people at taca counter for help and they will gladly direct you to the domestic station which is right next to the international terminal.

A hour and a half? personally, that is cutting it very tight. All it takes is a delay and you will miss your flight, not counting I have spent almost 2hrs waiting to go through customs, that normally takes no longer then 1 hr as the one answer said. However, SANSA has a lot of flights that goes to Quepos, so if you do miss your flight, you are sure to get on the next one, so don/t worry about it - just one of those things you can laugh about later ;-)

There are not any nonstop flights so with a connection in Dallas it going to take you about 7 hours and 50 minutes to get there.

i am trying to book a flight from Toledo, OH to San Jose ,CA and all the prices i check are $ 450 or higher

does any one know any cheaper flight ? I am going there to search for a job in sillicon valley and it is a one way flight, i was wondering if i can find a better deal.

The biggest problem is that you want to fly out of Toledo. It's a minor airport. Try checking the prices from Cleveland or Indianapolis.

It really does depend on when you're going and how willing you are to fly out of a different (larger) airport. That said, I'd suggest flying out of Detroit Metro (DTW). It's the closest to Toledo (much closer than CLE) and one-way fares from DTW to SJC can be had for under $200, depending on date of travel. I searched for Aug 6 and got $127 fares on US Airways with a connection in Phoenix (PHX) (via farecompare.com) Otherwise, you're looking at a one-stop on American TOL-SJC for $350 on the date I specified, or around $300 with 2 stops on multiple airlines. Again, it's dependent on your date of travel and how willing you are to fly out of an airport other than TOL, but (imo) it's worth the drive up to DTW.
