Does southwest airlines have 12 volt outlets?
I need to power a laptop for a flight from austin to San jose. They dont have them on their regional flights, but do they exist on their longer ones?

Domestically, very few planes have ports. International flights do, but typically only in Business Class or First.

Hello, My friend needs to take a ride to San Jose Airport, but she does not have a car (neither do I). We live in Santa Cruz. It's now 7:40pm, Tuesday, 12/23. Her flight is 6:30, Wednesday, 12/24. So she needs to find a vanpool or some travel method that will take her to the airport? is there any suggestion that you can make? Any good website to use? I Thank you in advance. Somebody told her that San Jose airport opens at 5:00am? That's why she's hesitating from using Highway 17. I am very skeptical of this. I can't seem to find this information on the web. Is it true that she can't spend the night at the airport? prompt reply appreciated.

I sympathize. Have you tried a phone book? Look under airport or transportation....

Here's an option that will take you on public transportation and you'll need to spend overnight at the airport; it took some internet research, but here it goes: Take the Route 17 - Highway Express; the bus leaves the Santa Cruz Metro Center at 9:30 pm and arrives at Diridon Station at 10:15 pm. ($4) http://www.scmtd.com/routes/rt17.html Then take the Caltrain that leaves the San Jose Station at 10:30 pm and get off at the Santa Clara Station at 10:35 pm. Transfer to the VTA bus 10 heading toward the Airport, leaving at 10:48 pm and arriving at 10:59 pm. (Last 2 costs $2.25). This is cheap...but complicated and you'll need to spend the night at the airport.

I'd say, Just how soon you know for certain that you'll be going. The earlier you book your flight the cheaper your tickets are. That will obviously mean a lot of money saved in our already poor economy

Prices can change day to day (sometimes they go up or down a couple hundred dollars) If you are really money conscience get in the habit of checking prices everyday and once the price gets lower than it has been it is time to book it!!! the closer you get to the travel date typically the more expensive it will be. check websites like: www.travelocity.com expedia.com hotwire.com orbitz.com those website check all the major carriers so it easy to compare!

How many hours earlier should I arrive at the airport before my flight?
I'm taking Continental Airlines from San Jose, CA to Cancun, Mexico. I'm going to make a stop at Houston, Texas first though, so I was wondering how many hours I should arrive earlier? Thanks!

Cheap flights from Ft Lauderdale Florida (FLL) to San Jose Costa Rica (SJO)
Cheap flights from Ft Lauderdale Florida (FLL) to San Jose Costa Rica (SJO) ?
So I was looking up tickets for a vacation to Costa Rica in the mid December. From the 13th till the 21st. I've been doing research and the cheapest I can find at the moment is $340. Ouch! Anyone know of anywhere that I could find something less? Thanks in advance. I've already looked at Expedia, Kayak, and Orbitz.. anything other then those sites I should know about? I will actually be flying out of Miami because I've discovered its on average about $20 cheaper.

honestly that seems like a pretty good deal....considering the time of year you plan on going. honestly i cant see you getting a much cheaper flight then that. your going around christmas break time....the longer you wait...the more the prices will sky rocket.

$340?? That is extremely cheap for a flight to Costa Rica, especially in December. Whenever I go, I pay more than $900, sometimes I'm lucky and I can get it for &600's...and that's all the way from the west coast to Costa Rica...Don't be so cheapo-depo!

You have got to be serious! Ouch for $340 in the middle of the tourist high season? Many people, as someone commented, will be paying $500 and upwards to travel to Costa Rica during the tourist high season. Pay the 340 and laugh all the way to Costa Rica. Thats a great price for the time of year you'll be flying. Keep in mind all those "great" prices we were all getting a few years ago don't exist anymore with the cost of gas and everything. The first time I went to CR I paid $148 before taxes - and this was 4 years ago. Now I can't ever find a flight for less than $400, unless I want multiple stops and 12 hour layovers. The chance of you finding better are slim.

Your best bet is probably Southwest. Last minute travel isn't cheap. It's expensive, or slightly less expensive.
