Do you have to check in again if transfering from a domestic to international flight

Do you have to check in again if transfering from a domestic to international flight?
I am flying from Seattle to Newark to San Jose, Costa Rica. I was wondering what I must do in the Newark airport in order to get to my international flight? Will I have to check in again?

It depends. If both your flights are on the same airline, partner airline or airlines that have an inter-airline agreement you should be able to receive both boarding passes and check your luggage all the way through to Costa Rica when you first check-in in Seattle. Since you didn't say what airlines you're flying with, who knows?

Continental, huh? You should get both boarding passes in Seattle. Just get off the plane in Newark and find your connecting gate

Gerald J has it right. When you get to the airport in Seattle ask at check in whether your bags will go straight through to Costa Rica. The check in person will know by the codes on the baggage labels.

I usually set a flight finder on travelocity. You can enter your criteria and price and they will email you when there is a flight match.
3 :
Kayak.com or maybe dohop.com

I live on the east coast and I usually fly into San Jose on Southwest. If I time it right, I can do it sometimes for as low as $88 each way booking directly from Southwest. I don't know where you are coming from, but I glanced at a couple of the airports I usually come from and they still have some of the cheap fares in the $100 range left for those dates. But prices change rapidly based on demand. If the deals aren't so great into San Jose, try going into San Francisco or Oakland; they're not too far away and depending on how full flights are they can sometimes be cheaper.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Did you try Cleveland to SFO or OAK?
2 :
I am searching Priceline.com for one adult on your travel dates to San Fransisco. The cheapest I found with taxes was $450, so you will want to fly into another airport. From Cleveland to San Jose, the cheapest I found with taxes was $380 on Continental. From Cleveland to Oakland (near SJC), was $490. On Southwest Airlines from Cleveland to San Jose via Chicago, the cheapest I found with taxes was $411. On SWA to Oakland, the price with taxes is $370. With SWA to San Fransisco, the price is $411. Priceline.com has a "name your own price" option, so you could try putting in $280, and see if they accept that! Good luck!

You probably won't fnd anything cheaper then that!

I got US $ 380 for a return ticket Cleveland - San Jose on June 12, return on August 12 at Travelocity. If you may return on August 11 or 13, price goes down to $ 330, all charges included. Finding online the cheapest flight for you is the job of Travelocity and other air ticket sites that compare instantly air tickets from different airlines. The best ones are listed here: http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx Use flexible dates in your query .

Boarding pass not printed. No email printout. How to get a boarding pass at airport

Boarding pass not printed. No email printout. How to get a boarding pass at airport ?
Here is my detailed Question:--- My friend is arriving in JFK airport (NY) from an international flight. Then, he has to take a domestic flight from NY to San Jose, California. I'll be booking online for his domestic air-ticket from San Jose. The problem is... he will not have a printed boarding pass, nor a printed e-ticket. How can he proceed to the gate ? Where can he print the boarding pass (is it needed? )? Pls kindly answer. Any help appreciated.

Since he's coming in on an international flight, he'll have to go through customs when he gets to JFK. Depending upon the airline, he may or may not have to go back through security for the flight to San Jose. If he doesn't have to go through security again, then he can just go right to the gate, and they can print a boarding pass for him. If he does have to go through security again, he will need a boarding pass. He'll have to go to his airlines ticket counter and either ask an agent to print a boarding pass, or use one of the self-check-in kiosks. Either way will work. However, as long as he isn't leaving from wherever he is internationally, just tell him his confirmation number, and he should be able to print out a boarding pass from the airline's website before he leaves for the US. Hope this helps!
