How do I go from San Jose (Costa Rica) to Tokyo (Japan) without flying through the US at all

How do I go from San Jose (Costa Rica) to Tokyo (Japan) without flying through the US at all?
Hi, Because of very complicated visa issues, I need to travel between San Jose (Costa Rica) to Japan without going through the US at all. I just can't land in the US. I looked for flights to Australia, Brazil and others, but I can't find a flight that doesn't cross through Los Angeles, Miami or New York. I thought this is ridiculous, but do you guys know of any way to do this?

Take the cruise . . .
2 :
You can travel on Aeromexico with layovers at Mexico City and Tijuana. You will need to get through Mexican immigration since you use a domestic flight in Mexico but citizen of Costa Rica are visa exempt to Mexico. Looking for a really cheap flight to Japan?
I want a one way flight that leaves from San Francisco or San Jose (or anywhere around there) and goes to Osaka or Nagoya, Japan that is under $900. I want to leave in December or January.

This Japanese travel agency, HIS, is offering discount air tickets. I think you can find a ticket which is under $900. http://his-usa.com/en/top/Top.aspx Dec or Jan is the time when air fare is the lowest (except for New Year period). But the difficult point for you is to find one way ticket. I don't think you can find one way so easily. Most tickets are round trip.

I don't think you can enter Japan unless you have a round trip ticket.

How close is San Jose to Oakland by car

How close is San Jose to Oakland by car?
I'm flying into Oakland this week. My ultimate destination is San Jose, but I cannot get a non-stop flight from here to there. Figuring I could go into Oakland and go the rest of the route via cab or shuttle. Thanks.

Its approx 40 miles / 1 hour or so.

I wouldn't take a cab unless you're rolling in dough. It's about 40 miles.
3 :
depends on what part of san jose your going to! San Jose is a large city that covers a large area. Cab may cost you 50-75 plus; there is Caltrain; but your best bet would to rent a car. do you know anyone that could drive you; if you do take a cab, call and ask them to give you a price; than they have to stick with it; instead of using the meter if you ran the meter, it will cost you alot hope this helps
4 :
After picking up a rental car, it will take you 1 hour drive time. It's a straight shot on the freeway.

You can make public transit connections from Oakland airport to San Jose. Take the AirBART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) shuttle from the airport to the BART Coliseum station. Ride BART south to Fremont statin (end of the line). At Fremont BART , you can transfer directly to VTA (Valley Transit Authority) busses that run to San Jose. There are three express routes (120, 140, 180) from Fremont BART to San Jose. Route 180 goes all the way to the San Jose rail station near downtown. You can make connections to all over San Jose by bus or light rail from several points on the route. See the VTA website for schedules and maps. You can search the site by route number or area.

don't take a cab its far. you have 2 options 1. bart to fremont then vta 2. bart to sf, then take caltrain 3. take a cab if your loaded

there is no non-stop service from the bay area (SFO/OAK/SJC) to San Jose CR (SJO) and the only airlines arriving in the morning are AA (departing from SJC) and United (departing from SFO) both via LAX so you would need to leave the bay area the evening of the 6th. When I checked, AA had the better fare and the itinerary looks like this: Leave Fri, Apr 6 American Airlines 3115 operated by American Eagle Depart: 8:40pm Arrive: 9:50pm San Jose, CA (SJC) Los Angeles, CA (LAX) Change planes. Time between flights: 2hr 5min American Airlines 927 Depart: 11:55pm Arrive: 6:30am Los Angeles, CA (LAX) San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) Total duration: 8hr 50min This is an overnight flight. Return Sun, Apr 15 American Airlines 2166 Depart: 9:50am Arrive: 3:00pm San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX (DFW) Change planes. Time between flights: 3hr 12min American Airlines 847 Depart: 6:12pm Arrive: 8:02pm Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX (DFW) San Jose, CA (SJC) Total duration: 8hr 50min
