Online check- in - so what time should you be at airport

Online check- in - so what time should you be at airport?
My cousin wants to try online check-in but he has less time so when should he be at airport if the flight is at 8pm Basically - online checkin should make sense for people with less time - so pls suggest. And - does San Jose airport have night cabs to drop him back home?

like 3 hour before taake off
2 :
1 hr before your flight. ring your airline to check though. it should also say when you have finished checking in.
3 :
depends what time of year slow 1 hour heavy 3 just know your surroundings is all call or hit up the computer
4 :
The earliest he should be there is 6 a.m. and the latest is 7 a.m. Security is really tight so it would be a good idea to get through baggage and check in. Hopefully this helps you out!
5 :
Even if you have an eticket it is still recommended that you are there 2 hrs ahead of time. 3 if it is internationl. However, I've been there 1 hour ahead and made it without any problems. Last thing you want is to miss a flight. Remember they start boarding 30 mts ahead of departure. Also you may want to remember to pack light and not check in any bags. Makes the hole process faster.
6 :
I love checking in online! You go right to the gate, & skip the huge lines at check in. But they still recommend getting there 2 hours early, because of the security checkpoints. They can take forever.
7 :
I would still say at least an hour before your flight time. Reason being? You still have to go thru airport security..and you know that takes forever in itself..
8 :
To be safe, I'd be there at least 2 hours.
9 :
defenity do online check -in. you can do this 24 hours or less before the flight. If his flight is at 8, make sure he has at the airport AT LEAST by 6:45 or 7 because even though he did online check-in, he still must check-in at the counter. the online process makes this go by faster because it allows you to get into a shorter line, not the long one where all the people are waiting for their tickets, etc. This process should only take about 5 minuetes. then there is airport security which takes much longer, and the reason for getting there as early as you can. flights typically board 20 minuetes before departure. i dont know for sure about the cabs, but you can ask at the airport information booth and they will know for sure, and they can tell you if there is a designated area for cab pick-up. but usually cabs are most definetly at airports, and have a certain area where they line up.
10 :
It depends on the airport and airline. We always do online check-in - it saves so much time at the airport as you don't have to queue in a long line; often there's a separate check-in desk for people who have already done it online. Usually you have to be there at least an hour before the flight leaves, but sometimes it's more. If your cousin checks in online, it should tell him what time he has to be at the airport for his particular flight. There are no disadvantages - if he can do it, it's much the best way of checking in. He can choose whatever seats he wants, and if he wants vegetarian or other special meals he can book those online too.

Why are most third-world country airports located in the middle of the city

Why are most third-world country airports located in the middle of the city?
For example. LAX, located far from Downtown Los Angeles Vancouver International, Located Away from the city Toronto-Pearson, Located Far From City Seattle-Tacoma, You might need to book a flight from here to downtown.. Now, Quito, Ecuador, DON'T HIT THE BUILDINGS!!!!!!!! Tegucigulpa, Honduras, located right in the middle However, some exceptions can be made (San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA) But I think you get the party... Why is this?

I'm sure it mostly has to do with money. When a country has the need and the billions of dollars it takes to acquire the land and build an airport away from the city they'll probably do it.
2 :
It has nothing to do with being in the Third World or not, and everything to do with the way the city grows before and after the airport is built.
3 :
because they are smart - or arnt they?? you make happy people by not having to travel far - but the airport corporations dont get outrages travel money like you normally would either. but you make happy travellers.

If you are 15, you can travel as an adult if you choose. If you would like to travel as an unaccompanied minor (and receive extra assistance from the gate agents and flight attendants) you can, but it is a $60 charge one-way (a round trip flight will be $120 for this service). If you are planning on connecting through a city to get to your final stop, you aren't allowed to take the last connection of the day if you fly as an unaccompanied minor.

I found a flight on June 21st originating from Tijuana airport to Mazatlan airport for less than $160 USD via Volaris airlines. You can easily find another flight from San Francisco to San Diego to complement the first part of your trip on Orbitz or Expedia websites; and then use Greyhound or the Tijuana trolley to get to Tijuana. If you use the Volaris website, be sure to translate it in English first; I hope this helps you.

I believe southwest has some cheap flights that day what time are you looking at leaving and the seats are cheap i think under 129.99?
2 :
I like to check with Kayak because it compares many different airlines against one another. Also, extending your flight from a direct to non-direct will reduce the price. Also red-eyes low prices a little. It will be a little difficult since you are flying during “prime time” which is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The best time to fly out or in is Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. I hope this helps :)

Try letmebook.com They guy looks for the cheapest flight and sends you a link to the results. It is free

It's still kind of early, so you should be comparing the prices every week, and don't wait until after March 1st to book. I would recommend checking out BookMe dot com. You can compare ALL the reputable travel sites, and save money. Good luck!

Do I have enough time for my international connection

Do I have enough time for my international connection?
I'm flying San Jose, Costa Rica-LAX on Delta, with a stop in Atlanta. Originally I had a very comfortable schedule but it was changed without my consent (that happens to me cause I always buy non-refundable). My new flight arrives at ATL at 6:54 pm and takes off to LAX at 8:05. Do you think i can make it in 1 hour and 11 minutes??
Air Travel - 3 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Yes, if you get through customs qucikly enough. I have had close calls like this before on international flights and made it but just in time. Your main goal should be to get through customs then RUN to your next gate or get a ride if its very far.
2 :
I don't know what the check-in regulations in Atlanta are, but if you are in absolute hurry, a flight attendant will usually pass you through. I have seen this a few times with people who were late for their flight; they were taken aside and skipped all the lines. If you let them know that it's not your fault, I hope that they will give you that service!
3 :
It should be fine. Ideally, 90s min or greater for a customs connection would be better. But 70 mins should be ok.

If you already book your flight, it will show on your itinerary folowing your e-ticket. Check your email! The search you did (the link) was for roundtrip: leaving Amsterdam Feb-15-2008 and return 02-21-2008. You need to click on "ONE WAY" button to book the one way ticket. If after reading the itinerary you're still confuse, call the Customer Service, the number usually listed on the e-ticket. Have a nice and safe flight!!
2 :
There are 4 flights leaving Schiphol, for San Jose, on the 21st February, '08. These are at 0700hrs, 0720hrs, 1235hrs and 2020hrs. They all involve at least 2 transfers and the only one that will get you to San Jose the same day is the 0700 flight, which arrives at 2139hrs. The others arrive at 0129hrs, 0806hrs and 1930hrs respectively on the 22nd Feb. Go back to the page you have mentioned and under plan & book, click on to one-way, and then type in the 21st Feb, in the departure date. Press search, and when the list of destinations appears, click on to San Jose US. The full details of the 4 flights will then appear. The airlines involved are Continental, Delta, US Airways & United Airlines. Addition. Where are your manners? Firstly you don't even ask a question, you more or less demand information, without a please in sight. Then after searching for and supplying information to you, the response is "thanks for nothing!". You are expecting people on here to do your homework for you, by pretending that your need for help is real, and you don't even know how to explain yourself to begin with. I would suggest you study and grasp how the 24 hour clock works, as it really is very easy. I will certainly NOT be offering any further assistance to you.

How can I work out a good flight cost comparison

How can I work out a good flight cost comparison?
I am going to be travelling with Raleigh International next year, either to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo or to San Jose , Juan Santamaria in Costa Rica. To decide I need to compare the cost of return flights but I am having such a hard time of it. All websites I have seen are commercial and can't give me a straight answer. I will be travelling there on the 10th of October 2010 and returning 17th December 2010. Does anyone know which is more expensive to travel to? - Costa Rica or Borneo? Any idea how much I will be paying for a return flight around that time? Any websites that will give me a fair comparison for something so far into the future? Ok but does anyone know how much of a difference in cost between a flight to either country would roughly be, disregarding what time of the year?

In order to travel to france fromt the United States as a steward you would most likely have to work for two airlines as connnections. But really your best bet would be to fly to Dublin considering terminal 2 is opening in november and that will be Delta's european base(now working for the worlds largest airline by fleet size is good for your CV). Delta will most likely fly direct from dublin to new york.I know Aer Lingus,Delta and Continental all currently fly Dublin-Shannon-New Ark but when terminal 2 opens in november they will operate direct to New Ark from Dublin. You may get flights coming in from france connecting into Dublin then back out into New Ark,which might suit you better tough you will have to work longer hours. I am not presently sure if there will be direct flights/connecting flights that go from Dublin to the airports you mentioned it might be worth your while contacting Delta to find out that information. I hope this information has helped you out.

Unless you work for a very small regional airline, you heard wrong. When you hire on with an airline, you go to the bottom of the seniority list, that means you work on call with a couple hours notice, and cover for anyone out sick or on vacation. You might have a one or two day layover at another city somewhere. You aren't going to have anything like a regular schedule. Even FA's with seniority can't plan their routine, as airlines will change flights and times about every three or four months to accommodate flight loads or route changes. Even taking online courses, might depend on when your school work needs to be finished, and you might be somewhere else. You don't have much time to do school work on a layover. It's usually eat, sleep, and gone again. What airport you work out of depends entirely if it's a hub for that airline or not, and where their job openings are. You'll relocate where they need you.
4 :
Gromit is correct in his answer. It will take you twice as long to get your degree if you try to go to college and work as a flight attendant. Best to get the degree first...the job will always be there, and by then, perhaps the majors will be hiring again- as those are the airlines who are going to fly to France. Another thing to consider is that LA tends to be a very senior base for most airlines, so even if your airline has a base there, you may still be stuck flying out of NY or some other city.
5 :
First of all you would not be able to fly internationally for years because you would be on reserve and you might have to relocate to an airport across the country. Make your decision school of flight attendent. Done tons of research on this for years. But after a few months you might be able to relocate to your airlines chosen base.

I found a great deal from Milwaukee to San Jose Cabo via Frontier Airlines. It's $569 round-trip with only one stop in Denver both times. There's no non-stop flight from Milwaukee anyways. The dates were Dec 18 to Jan 4. Flying on the 3rd of Jan yielded $650 as the lowest price with Mexicana, so try Monday the 4th instead. Frontier happens to be my favorite airline, so I would highly recommend them. You can look at their website, or alternatively the website I used-Kayak

A visa is not required as long as you stay in the international area of the airport but you can't leave it. Since you have a 12 hour layover, you should inquire at the KLM counter, for the form that lets you buy a Tourist Visa. It costs $5.00. Then you can hire a taxi and get to see a little bit of the city. I recommend that you go to Multi-Plaza Mall. It is about a 25 minute ride from the airport. It has a lot of places to eat as well as very nice shops. A closer and less upscale mall is the new Metro Mall. While you are in the airport, when you leave the Customs/Immigration area, taxis outside will be looking for your business. The ride will cost you about $25.00. The price is set by the airport mafia. One way to get around this steep fee, is to go upstairs where taxis leave off people who are departing. . The stairs are just to your left after you leave Customs. The taxis upstairs usually drive back empty, so you can make a deal. Offer the guy ten bucks to take you to Multi-Plaza. It works. You might even get it for seven. Its found money for them at that price. CAUTION. If a cop is right there, the taxi might speed away. I've never had that happen to me.

I live in San Jose, CA, U.S.A, but have wanted to attend the University of Cambridge for as long as I can remember. On Farecompare (see below), there are some cheap flights for $700. Typically it can cost about $900. You can find hostels in London, which are less than hotels. Plan for $100/day to include accommodations and food.

Just a couple hours. The courts close a 5:00 pm, You'll enter a plea, and have a trial date set. Then you'll have to fly back to L.A. for your trial. It just seems to me that it would be MUCH cheaper to just request Traffic School (if you qualify), than to pay for 2 round trip flights, and loose 2 days pay over a traffic citation.

International flight connecting into a domestic one, what happens to my bags

International flight connecting into a domestic one, what happens to my bags?
I'm flying from SJD (San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico) to PHX (Phoenix, AZ), with a connecting flight to PHX through LAX (Los Angeles, CA). I was planning to check one bag through at SJD but I'm worried about what the procedure will then be at LAX. When I arrive in Los Angeles would I have to collect my bag and re-check it with US Airways, my connecting flight's operator (it's a United Airlines flight operated by US Airways; I was confused by this as well but their restrictions on bags are similar)? And if so, will I be subject to either US or United's fees for checked baggage? They have a different baggage allowance than American Airlines, who I am flying with out of SJD. Will domestic charges then apply because my connecting flight is a domestic one, despite my original flight having been an international one, and furthermore because the carriers are different? Or will my bag be exempted from charges because I'm connecting from an international flight, coming off an airline that did not charge for a first bag, with LAX not being my final destination? I didn't do anything unusual like book the flights separately; it was all done in one go through Expedia, with both of them appearing in my itinerary. I can't find any relevant information on any of these airlines' websites and have no access to a phone with which to call them. I e-mailed Expedia but they're going to take 24 hours to get back to me. Please advise as this is my first time flying solo and I would appreciate knowing what to expect! Thanks in advance. Hi, Your answer was extremely helpful, but just to clarify, it's American that my flight out of SJD is with, so is it their requirements I'm subject to or UA's? Furthermore, in the case that it is UA's, the UA flight (which is the connecting flight out of LAX) is operated by US Airways and now that I've taken another look at their site I notice that they, unlike UA, charge for a first checked bag! In this kind of situation, where one airline is operating another's flight, which airline's policy is it that determines how my bags are handled?

1 :
United will be able to check your bag all the way through to PHX for you when you check in at SJD -- US Airways and United have interline baggage agreements that allow for the transfer of checked luggage between carriers. You will be subject to United's baggage requirements for flights between Mexico and the US, because you're checking in with UA. I'd also note that you will have to collect your bag when you arrive at LAX before you go through Customs and Immigration (as this is the normal procedure for international passengers arriving at LAX who must go through Customs/Immigrration). Once you've gone through, though, there should be a place where transit passengers may drop their bags for their connecting flights. Since UA will have checked your bag all the way to PHX for you, all you'd need to do is leave your bag at that point and then make your way to your connecting gate. EDIT: American and US Airways do have an interline baggage agreement as well -- AA will be able to check your bag all the way through to PHX for you as well. (You'll still have to pick the bag up at LAX before you go through Customs and Immigration, though, but you'll be able to drop it at the point where transit passengers drop their bags for connections.) Since you have clarified that you're flying American on the first flight rather than United or another airline, American's baggage rules apply. According to their website, you won't be charged for the first bag (though charges will apply for the second bag). Because you should be able to check your bag all the way through to PHX when you originally check in, US should not charge you for that bag.

i have a flight with american airlines on may 3rd but i heard they were canceling their flights but how do i know if my flight got canceled? do i call them and ask them? do u think they will be cancelling flights in may still???? oh i went on the website and here is wat it said i wanted to see my flight info does this info mean its cancelled? plz answer all questions. Departure Arrival From / To: San Jose Municipal Airport, San Jose, CA, US Dallas Fort Worth Int'l Airport, Dallas, TX, US Scheduled: 11:05 AM 4:30 PM Actual: Terminal: A Not Available Gate: Not Available Not Available is this flight an MD-80 plane?

call.
2 :
It's hard to say if your flight will be cancelled this far in advance, though you'll just have to keep an eye out and call them a little closer to the departure date.
3 :
No it should not be affected inspections will only last to latest monday
4 :
Flights from DFW to SJC are usually MD-80s. So the answer to that question, is yes, it is an MD-80. There will definitely not be any terminal nor gate assignmet this far in advance so don't be alarmed by that, that does not mean your flight is cancelled. If you've given them your contact info when you booked then that's how they will notify ou of any flight abnormalities. If calling would make you feel a little bit more complacent, then do call them about 2 days before and if you so desire, again just before you're actual flight time. Remember though, that in certain situations, flights can get cancelled a few mins before or after the departure time.

Yesterday my friend accidentally brought a Swiss Army knife into an airport

Yesterday my friend accidentally brought a Swiss Army knife into an airport?
He was departing from to KSJC from KBUR and he realized he had his knife on him when we walked through the front door. His flight was departing pretty soon and he was already pretty far from his college campus, so he chucked the knife in the trash. Because it was only a short trip to San Jose (where he lives), he only had a carry-on. Was there any other way he could've done this without losing the knife?

put it in his bag and send it though with checked baggage then he could have got his bag +the knife once he got there
2 :
Checked the bag (can be costly now a days) or Mail it to himself. If you ask the TSA people they will direct you to an automated mail kiosk. It has boxes and stamps and a mail box. You just mail it to yourself. I have seen them at most medium and larger airports.
3 :
You coulda mailed it to him
4 :
If the airport had storage lockers ... he could have rented one and stored the knife there. If someone was there to "see him off" he could have given the knife to that person (as long as they were not going through the metal detector). Or he could have mailed it to himself at either address (house or campus). Lots of options out there.

Becoming a flight attendant

Becoming a flight attendant?
I am moving to the bay area in my near future and I am intrigued by the idea of being a flight attendant. I dont know any one personally who is a flight attendant so I i would like some feedback from those who are familiar with the occupation. I checked a few airlines online to see if they were hiring, but i am not sure exactly what im looking for. Are you hired out of the airport? If i live in San Jose (where the airport is) Will i be able to be a flight attendant without making a permanent move? I am very confused and SERIOUSLY new to this information. As of my info, I am 22. 5'6 at 165lb (losing weight currently) I have all of my general ed from college done with the exception of 1 class. I have a lot of experience working with people and children. I am first aid and CPR certified, fingerprinted etc. Am I a good candidate? What would i need? I am not bilingual but would love learning more languages. I plan to become a nurse one day, but right now i would like to have a job that i can travel, pay bills, get life experience, and benefits. Any info is wonderfully appreciated, advice.....stories...Help me out.

Tips for taking an infant on a plane

Tips for taking an infant on a plane?
Hi. I'm leaving Sunday for a 4 maybe 5 hour flight from Austin to San Jose California. I am taking my 6 month old son with me. He is sitting on my lap. This will be his first trip and I was wondering if anyone had some tips. I know everyone hates when there is babies on the plane lol So I want to avoid being that 'mom' He is breast fed and bottle fed with formula. I know I should feed him going up and down to avoid his ears getting plugged... but any other advice? Thanks in advance

i also took my baby on the plane, although she was a bit younger (around 3 months) One thing I can say is don't count on him eating on the ride up and down because he might just not be hungry. I don't know about your son, but unfortunately she was not hungry either of those times so I couldn't get her to and she had to bear through the ear popping. If he likes a pacifier this could be a replacement. Another tip is to sit in an aisle seat. It helps because you can get up and walk around with the baby if necessary and it also makes it easier to make trips to the bathroom for diapers changes and what not without bothering the other passengers. Make sure you stuff your diaper bag with lots of his favorite toys and things of course to preoccupy him. Bear in mind that he will probably get bored eventually and maybe a little fussy, but try not to stress too much about it because you do have just as much of a right to be the on that plane as anybody else! As long as you're doing your part to try and console and keep your baby entertained then you are doing your best and other passengers should realize it and if they're dont then they are the inconsiderate ones. Chances are though it will be a pretty smooth ride. :) My daughter did really well, a lot better than I expected. Even other passengers were commenting on how good she was. So do keep in mind its not always a monstrous experience. lol Good luck and hope this helped!
2 :
Its not too bad. I flew with my daughter for 8 hours direct. Once when she was 4 months and once when she was 16 months. It was a LOT harder when she was 16 months because she wanted down and to walk. Anyway, I breastfed on the way up. Our plane was delayed and I had to feed her while waiting to take off...despite that she still sucked even though she wasnt hungry. They dont have to eat they just have to suck enough to clear their ears. Take off was a breeze it was the landing that was worse for her little ears. She did great though. Bring a change of clothes for her and you. Get an isle seat if possible. If possible bring her carseat. I held my daughter on my lap at 4 mo but took her seat for the 16 mo trip. It was awesome because she was able to sleep a lot more. Pick up a few cheap little toys he has never seen before and bring them out as needed. Something new to focus on. Other than that its pretty easy. People on planes are sympathetic to babies I find. Its the toddlers people dont like. :)
3 :
Relax! That is actually a good age to fly with a baby. They aren't too mobile and can do limited damage. I flew with my daughter when she was 7months. Fortunately her ears were NOT a problem and she slept most of the time. But I got lucky and was nervous about the trip too. My advice is to relax. Even if your kid goes nuts... it is OK. Other parents know that there isn't much you can do if a baby whigs out. Non-parents can give you dirty looks... but I guess they can't do much more than that.
4 :
Basically, just feed him going up and down. My kids both slept through flights as babies. The only time I ever had a problem was when my 2 year old had a dirty diaper just as the fasten seatbelt sign came on and apparently it was very acidic because it gave him a horrible diaper rash by the time we landed. But make sure to take pleny of extra clothes for your baby and yourself. Athan flew when he was 2 months old and had several diaper explosions. He went through 4 outfits before we landed and he even exploded all over me.

Why won't my parents just let me get married for god's sakes

Why won't my parents just let me get married for god's sakes?
So I'm a 21 year old vietnamese american guy in San Jose and I am depressed angry and desperate because I cannot get a girlfriend on my own. My parents asked my relatives in vietnam to find me a girl for me to marry but I cannot marry her until I finish college or either get a job. It's hard to get a job in this economy right now. I just wish I can drop out of college and get a job at Burger King and marry her. It's gotten to the point where I don't give a crap about a college degree anymore since I really don't have the skills to finish college because of my learning disorder. I am tired of waiting and I want to jump on the next flight to vietnam from San Jose. My parents said you got to have patience and they said wait until next year in August when we fly to vietnam to meet her. I'm so desperate and I want to marry her and let all of these rude rumors and people fly by me. If I marry her then I can forget about all of these rumors and rude people because I will have her in my life. Why won't my parents just let me get married ??? I'm so desperate and sometimes I think i be better off being dead.

Getting married won't fix all of your problems! You HAVE to have patience and everything will fall into place... finish college and so many doors will open for you! You can get a good job and maybe find someone that you will love! I hope this helped.. patience is a virtue and you need to use it!
2 :
Don't give up your college degree! That time will pass fast and you will meet better quality ladies! finish college!
3 :
Ya right! I'm Vietnamese too I have never heard any guys young like u go back Vietnam married a girl.
4 :
The only problem with getting married to her right now is that she may be expecting you to support her and your job at Burger King will not support two people, and then if a baby comes along you are probably back relying on your parents and then the three of you will be unhappy...it is in your best interest to finish school because that degree will allow you to actually manage a Burger King or work many other places besides basic jobs. I understand that life is hard right now but it will get better. Sometimes we have to wait for our good...like it is not done baking yet. See if you can find some friends to talk to who will understand and be supportive of you while you are going through this hard time. It will get better.
5 :
Life is not so unworthy that you can put an end to it so easily. The problem before you is not at all a very complicated or something that cannot be solved.Patience is the mother of all virtue. All your parents want is wait for them so as to approve of your girlfriend, they have not objected you from marrying her.In spite of that if you want to marry her no one can stop you,but will you be really happy without your parents support?Life is easier and happier when everyone approves and support for the marriage and you have lots of people to share your happiness, which the y say doubles if shared.

Whatever you do, Marcus, wear your cute red Vietnamese dress. And the bra and the makeup. You look great in all of it!

Round trip from Orlando, Fl to San Jose, CR is around $300 on Jet Blue, including tax. Flight time is about 2.5 hours. Should be similar for Houston. We fly Jet Blue because they are a little cheaper with surfboard fees. Some airlines might be a little less for just basic seats.
2 :
Houston is the hub for Continental Airlines, which has many daily flights to San Jose, which I have used many times. Go to cheaptickets.com (and others) and it is packed with costs to fly to San Jose. Cost of round-trip varies depending when you are going, but expect to pay between $600-750US Flight time is about 3hrs 30mins.
3 :
From Houston, your choices are pretty limited. Continental pretty much has a large share of that market, so their prices are pretty high, but not in the $600-750 range. I just did a serach on Kayak (www.kayak.com) for mid-July and mid-September. It came up as $535 (tax included) on Continental. Nonstop flight and it takes about 3:40. There are some Aeromexico flights for $450 but they have a 5-7 hour layover in Mexico City. No gracias! lol

Right now, I'm 17 and when I grow up I want to visit these places. Also, I'm from San Jose, when we went to San Francisco I did not see these places on the flight. I only see them in Asia.

You could do volunteering work there, or try and find a job. Or, if you have the financial means, you could take a long holiday. There are really lots of ways you could do it, take a look here for further information - http://www.russianembassy.org/ I'm not sure how reputable this website is having never used it but it may be worth looking at - http://www.volunteerabroad.com/Russia.cfm And a tip for you would be, seeing as you seem to have plenty of time, to try and learn some Russian, at least to a basic conversational level - this way you'll find it less problematic to perform basic tasks such as finding what you want in a shop or buying train tickets. Try this website for learning the language - http://www.russianlessons.net/ (Investing in a book that you can read when you want to may also be a good idea, such as this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Basic-Russian-Workbook-Routledge-Grammars/dp/0415183189 )

You can do 3-D virtual tours on Bing or you can download Google EARTH and do virtual tours of any place in the world
3 :
so you did not found flights from SJC or SFO to those two countries? I would then recommend to do connecting flights via other states,I'm sure there are flights to russsia from other states here in the united states I'm also from San Jose!.

Is Mexicana Airlines offering flights from California to Guadalajara?
I just went to the website to check the prices on a flight from Fresno or San Jose, California to Guadalajara and it didnt offer me the option to depart from any airport in the United States. From Fresno or San Jose, obviously not - But Mexicana certainly has SFO or LAX direct flights to Guadalajara - You will have to drive to one of these airports, or take a connecting flight - Pero no sé lo que fue la situación despues que fue a cambiar vuelos - Hasta que la aerolínea es en quiebra despues el mes de Julio - Informate -
3 :
Mexicana is currently going through Mexico's version of Chapter 11, which means it is filing for bankruptcy. All ticket sales in USA are stopped until the airline's financial restructuring has taken place...

It may be a little cheaper to fly into Albrook regional. I haven't made the flight into Costa Rica from here (Panama City) but I did fly to David, Panama which is near the border. For me and my daughter round trip was less than $300. We fly AeroPerla they have a website http://www.aeroperlas.com/ they do speak English Tel: (507) 315 - 7500
2 :
Have you tried Taca or Copa? Those are supposed to be quite cheap, especially in a route like Costa Rica - Panama.

You can check for specials on this link Good luck! <a href="http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-2215926-10004533" target="_blank" onmouseover="window.status='http://www.taca.com';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;"> <img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-2215926-10004533" width="88" height="31" alt="Lowest fares... You have 2 options. The least complicated is to fly via Air Panama (http://www.flyairpanama.com). It should be at least 50 dollars cheaper than Copa or Taca. They don't have a daily flight, so you have to check their schedule at their page. The other way you can do it is by flying Nature Air to Bocas del Toro, and from there fly to Panama City using Aeroperlas or Air Panama. The flight round trip from Bocas to Panama City and back is aprox. 145 dollars. Don't know how much is Nature Air charging for the trip from San José to Bocas. That's it. Good luck!

Just based on a general search, there doesn't appear to be any direct flights from Cleveland to San Jose. There are many different scenarios, layovers in Atlanta, Houston, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale... The average time in the air is approx 5.5 - 6.5 hours. That is not including the layover time. with time in between flights, the average start to finish time is approx 10-11 Hours. That does not include getting to the airport early for check in or the time in the San Jose airport after arrival (customs, baggage claim...) All I did to get this information was to go to: http://www.cheaptickets.com/ or http://www.kayak.com/ Its a long journey, but I've been told its worth it!

what our family did was rent a car, it saves a lot of money and it is is beautiful scenery once you leave the san jose area. From San jose to arenal is a 2lane road that is windy as crap and has many hills! but the scenery is magnificent. green green green! it is a long drive but not too bad, about 3-4 hours? However, Arenal is AWESOME, when we were there in july, we could watch the volcano erupt while we slept, it is really a great site! we stayed at the el paraiso. it is a ways up the road from the town. I hope you have activities planned! We did an activity every other day as a whole family, it worked perfectly becuase you really get poo ped and all the buses to come pick you up come before 8 am becuase the afternoon rains come at 1 or so. We didnt visit monteverde so i dont know about transportation but once again, since you are returning to san jose, there are many many car rental places very close to the airport! Our trip was planned with www.jdwatersports.com and everything was PERFECT, read the section http://www.jdwatersports.com/travel.htm it has many tips and talks about the transportation, good luck and make sure you have everything planned, you do not want to get stuck in san jose trust me! *** by the way, dont let ANY object out of your site, i got my cell phone stolen and it was used by someone to make international calls to canada. Dont think for a second you can trust the people there that arent employees of something big. It is unnerving when you finally set foot into costa rica becuase there are so many people trying to get you to get a cab, DO NOT get in a cab that is not a costa rican cab owned by the government. i tlaked to a woman there that the first day she got in a cab her and her friends were robbed and one was stabbed in the hand. Oh to answer the other questions, it really isnt the amount of cities it is the activites. on the 25th you are going to get to arenal late in the day and want to unwind, the next day you should have an acitivty planned, maybe the zip lines or the volcano tour, the 27th you will probalby want to just rest and go in the springs at night and get packed, the 28th you will drive all the way to monteverde. again you wont want an acitvity that day, 29th plan something like horseback? i dont know the area though. 30th you should do the best activity in my opinion, White water rafting! so awesome! its an all day thing, then 31 you leave early and get back to san jose! do not try for a 3rd city!
2 :
If you want a nightlife... fly to Panama City for a day or two! If you rent a car... keep everything out of site, including the stereo! Even if there is a "security guard" in the parking lot. AND... learn to drive like a local! Horn and all! Have fun! It's great down there!
3 :
Some people think in rent a car but we do not have well mark our street this is dificult to do, that if you dont know, i think is better get a private transport and live out the hassle.
4 :
use grayline or interbus, shuttle buses that travel between all opf the maqjor tourist towns. you should book a jeep-boat-jeep taxi service- about USD20p.p- across lake arenal to monteverde: http://monteverde.typepad.com/monteverde/home/index.html http://costa.rica.typepad.com/la_fortuna/home/index.html

Does a bicycle helmet count as a personal item on the airlines

Does a bicycle helmet count as a personal item on the airlines?
We are going on a bike tour, and are trying to avoid another checked bag, if possible. I suspect our carryons will be full, and as the personal item, I was thinking the handlebar bags (with a shoulder strap, like a purse). If we wear our bike helmets, will those just be treated as hats, or will we get tagged for having two personal items? Both the helmet and handlebar bag should fit under the seat in front of us, I would think. The flight is from San Jose, CA to Salt Lake City, UT. Then another from Salt Lake City to Fargo, ND.

roderick If it won't fit inside a carry on bag, then carry on a day pack. It is just slightly larger than a purse, and will easily fit under the seat.... plus, it will carry all you bike clothes. If you don't like that idea, and are stuck, wear the helmet on the plane. It is you hat of choice.... they won't press the issue! Then just stick it under the seat. Soccerref
2 :
O ya it's considered a carry on. if all bag's are full and your carry on is full. wear it. Can't touch that,

I only have a 30 min lay over at Denver intl Airport. Is that enough time to get to my next flight

I only have a 30 min lay over at Denver intl Airport. Is that enough time to get to my next flight?
Thank you. I am flying United from San Jose to Denver to New York (LAG). I was also wondering if I should check my bags. Is that enough time for my bags to get from point A to Point B?

1 :
30 minutes is really cutting it close, especially at a large airport like Denver. It is also asking to have any checked bags not make the connection. If you have only carryon baggage and there is another flight after your scheduled flight you should be OK - you may just be taking the later flight. Call the airline and ask about your options.
2 :
I'd check with the airline and see if there is another possible flight a little later. Thirty minutes is cutting it pretty close, especially if your first flight is just a little late. And it could create trouble for any checked baggage. You may be okay if your 2nd flight will be taking off from the same concourse as where you land, but it's still close. The shortest layover I've had was 40 minutes in Pittsburgh, and we just barely made it to our plane. But our luggage did get on board with us.
3 :
If you are also taking United from Denver to LGA, you may be OK. As long the gate is close by from your arrival flight. Just hope your luggage would be transfered to your other flight too. Since it a connection you do not neesd to re-check them. But if you bought two separate tickets (one from San Jose to Denver and another one from Denver to LGA) you will never make the connection and you have to re-check your luggage.
4 :
United has the entire B concourse at Denver for domestic flights. From one end to the other, it can literally take you 15 minutes to walk. It is a very large concourse. I would recommend at least 60 minutes between flights when connecting at a large airport. The only saving grace is that you're flying to LGA from DEN and there's always a chance of having flow control restrictions in place for NYC making your flight leave Denver late.
5 :
My God! This is grossly insufficient time to reach the connecting flight even if you don't have to take the baggage.
6 :
yes i had 5 mins.
7 :
As long as your connecting flight is on United, you will be fine assuming your incoming flight is on time. All United flights arrive and depart out of the same concourse, so the gates are all within 5 minutes of eachother (not 15 minutes like that above guy said, unless you walk at a snail pace) and connected via moving walkway. So, assuming you are not disabled or lazy, 30 minutes is plenty of time to make your flight. Additionally, due to the fact that Denver is a hub for United, United will delay outgoing flights if a batch of incoming flights to Denver are delayed. Still, I would suggest carrying your bags on if you can. Why not?

Can anybody tell me what's with the supposed volaris airlines service to chicago

Can anybody tell me what's with the supposed volaris airlines service to chicago?
I've heard the news that volaris has applied for flight service to San Jose, CA and Chicago,IL from Guadalajara,MX and it's already been about a month and a half since they applied to launch service but the airline is already serving to san jose by the end of april and to chicago they haven't decided a start date to fly. What's going on with the guadalajara to chicago route?? Will they serve it and to which one of chicago's two airport will they fly to? By the way i live in chicago that's why i'm curious.

The government may still be in the process of approving the Chicago to Guadalajara route. Once approved, the airline has to incorporate the route into its network and make sure they have available aircraft. This can take a little bit of time so one has to be patient. You can always go to the airline's website to periodically check on any updates. Most likely the airline will fly out of O'Hare. Midway is for domestic flights.

How did an illegal alien manage to get on plane 'Unruly' passenger turned over to immigration officials

How did an illegal alien manage to get on plane 'Unruly' passenger turned over to immigration officials?
(CNN) -- A disruptive passenger who prompted a flight diversion Wednesday is on his way to being removed from the United States, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Because of privacy issues, ICE could only provide limited information about the incident. "I can tell you that the man who was removed from Continental Flight number 1576 on Wednesday morning in Albuquerque is in ICE custody, and he has been placed into removal proceedings," said agency spokeswoman Leticia Zamarripa. The man is an illegal immigrant, Zamarripa confirmed. It is unclear whether the incident aboard the plane is related to proceedings to remove him from the United States. The passenger, who has not been identified, was taken into custody Wednesday at Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico after an incident aboard the plane led to an unexpected stop for the Houston-bound flight. The flight originated in San Jose, California. Immigration and FBI officials have declined to comment on the behavior that led to the diversion to New Mexico. The passenger was characterized as "unruly" by FBI spokesman Frank Fisher. CNN affiliate KOAT reports the man threatened to jump from the plane and had to be restrained. No one on the plane was hurt, and authorities do not believe there are any terrorism ties to the incident, Fisher said. Continental Airlines is cooperating with local authorities, an airline spokeswoman said Wednesday. http://edition.cnn.com/2010/TRAVEL/12/09/unruly.passenger.continental/index.html

Math help

Math help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
1. An airline had 122, 138, 114, and 133 passengers on four flights from San Diego to San Jose during 1 day. What was the total number of passengers? 2. You are fencing a backyard that measures 20 yd by 15 yd. How much fencing should you buy? 3. List all the prime numbers between 45 and 80 4. Find the prime factorization of the number 20. 5. Find two factors of 35 with a difference of 2. 6. Choose the correct greatest common factor of 28, 42, and 7. A used-car dealer sold 13 of the 52 cars in stock. What fraction names the portion sold? What fraction names the portion not sold. (Reduce fractions.) Please explain how to get the answers, Thank you
Mathematics - 7 Answers

1 :
1. Just add up all the numbers. 507 passengers. 2. A rectangle with long side of 20yd and a short side of 15yd. You need two lengths of each side = 40 + 30 = 70yd. 3. Look at the numbers and first of all cross off the even ones. You just have to check if they are divisible by any primes that are less than the square root of the number that you are checking. Since the largest number is 85, you just have to check 2, 3, 5 and 7. That leaves the following as primes ( they don't have 2, 3, 5 or 7 (or anything else) as factors): 47 53 59 61 67 71 73 79 83 4. You can really do this by inspection. Normally you divide by the lowest prime factor that fits (such as 2 or 3) and repeat until you have a prime. With 20, that's 2 x 2 x 5. 5. Well the two obvious factors of 35 are 5 and 7 (5x7=35) and they have a difference of 2. So - solved. 6. The greatest common factor of 28 and 42. Just list the factors and pick the greatest common one. 28: 2, 4, 7, 14 42: 2, 3, 6, 7, 14, 21 It looks like you had one more number that was missing from your question. Just list the factors for that and you can easily see the greatest common factor. The greatest common factor is 14. 7. 13 / 52 = 1 / 4 (divide top and bottom by 13) The portion not sold = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4
2 :
2. the perimeter is the lenght of all the sides added together. 20 + 20 + 15 + 15 = answer 5. 7 and 5
3 :
1. Just add them all up = 507 2. Perimeter of a rectangle is 2 * length + 2 * width=2*20+2*15=70 3. A prime number is a number that has exactly 2 factors, 1 and itself. Therefore, any even number greater than 2 is not a prime. So, consider only odd numbers greater than 45 and less than 80. You only have to check for divisibility for 3, 5 and 7 because they are the only prime numbers greater than 2 and less than or equal to 8.94427 (square root of 80). 49 is divisible by 7, 51 divisible by 3, 55 divisible by 5, 57 is divisible by 3, 63 is divisible by 3, 65 is divisible by 5, 69 is divisible by 3, 75 is divisible by 5, 77 is divisible by 7. That leaves 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79 4. 20 is even so divide by 2 to get 10. Even again, divide by 2 to get 5. 5 is a prime number so 2*2*5 5. 5 and 7 6. and? I see only 2 numbers. Prime factorization of 28 is 2*2*7 and the prime factorization of 42 is 2*3*7. The common prime factors are 2 and 7. 2*7=14 7. 13/52. Divide top and bottom by 13 (gcf) to get 1/4. The unsold cars are (52-13)/52 = 39/52. Divide top and bottom by 13 (gcf) to get 3/4.
4 :
1. to get the total number of passengers, add up those on each flight. 122 + 138 + 114 + 133 = 507 2. draw a picture of the backyard. (it is a rectangle). label the short sides 15 and the long sides 20. now add up the lengths of fence you need (15 + 20 + 15 + 20) = 70 3. prime numbers have no other factors except 1. So the even numbers are no good, nor are multiples of 3, 5, or 7. Taking these out leave 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79. Since the next prime after 7 is 11 and 80 is less than 11*11, these are all prime. 4. 20 = 4 * 5 - 2*2*5. 2 and 5 are prime, so we are done. 5. 35 = 1 * 35 = 5 * 7. 7 - 5 = 2. 6. gcd(28, 42, 7) is the largest number that divides all three without remainder. since 7 is prime, the only candidates are 1 and 7. 7 divides 28 and 42 evenly and it certainly divides 7 evenly, so it is the answer. {gcd = greatest common divisor, the same thing as greatest common factor) 7. 13/52 to simplify, divide numerator and denominator by 13 to get 1/4.
5 :
1.) ADD ; 122+138+114+133=507 passengers 2) 20x2+15x2=70 yrds, buy the cheapest/yard 3) 47,51,53,57,59,61,67,71,73,79 4) 2,4,5,10 5)7 and 5 ; 7-5=2 6) 7 7) 13/52= 0.25 x 100% = 25% 39/52=0.75 x 100% = 75% whew, hope it helps
6 :
2. you are finding the perimeter of the rectangle so you add up all the sides of the rectangle 2(20 yd) + 2(15 yd)= 70 yd. 3. a prime number is a number whose factors are only itself and one, meaning it has no other factors. some prime numbers between 45 and 80 include: 47, 59, 61... 4. break the 20 into two factors (10 x 2). 2 is a prime number so you continue by factoring the 10 (5 x 2). since 5 is also a prime number the answer is: 2 x 2 x 5. when writing the answer, you should always put the smallest number first. 5. 7 and 5. because 7 x5= 35 and 7-5= 2 7. fraction of portion sold= the # sold/ the total= 13/52= 1/4 portion not sold= the # not sold/ total= (52-13)/52= 39/52= 3/4 [you can also think about this as 1-(1/4) because the portion not sold is just the rest of the cars left, 100%- 25%=75%)
7 :
1. 122+138+144+133= 507 passengers in one day. 2. P= 2L + 2W P= 2(20) + 2(15) P= 40 + 30 P= 70 yds. 3. 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79 in this case, look up all multiples of 6 between 45 and 80 then subtract or add 1 to each no., but be careful. some are still composite with this (49, 55, 65,77) 4. 2x2x5 5. 1,5,7,35, so 7 and 5 6. 28= 2x2x7 42= 2x3x7 remove the 2 from 28 and the 3 from 42 then you get 2x7 or 14! 7. 25% and 75%

Urgent Visa Biometric Centre (ASC) Questions - California/San Jose

Urgent Visa Biometric Centre (ASC) Questions - California/San Jose?
Hi, I need to book flights in a couple of days and urgently need an answer to the following questions - only answer if you know the answer is 100% correct please: 1. I understand there is a long waiting list (a couple of weeks), in LA currently for Biometric testing for Visa applications, does this extend to all testing centres in California (San Jose is my preferred choice)? Or does anyone know a phone number I can contact to find out (1-800-375-5283 (USCIS support number) is useless)? 2. Lastly, when you apply online for the (spouse in my case) visa, I have been told it offers you the choice of biometric centres you can use, you then pay for the application, then you can pick an appointment at your biometric centre online. IF the centre you have chosen has no soon appointments, is there any way you can go back and pick a different biometrics centre? I've tried numerous forums to get this answered but am getting nothing definitive - all sound advice welcome. Thankyou.

Did you try to go back to infopass and drop your current appointment then select a new one??? That is how it suppose to work. PS. I don`t see a clear connection between biometrics and booking a flight. If you are going to be out of town then you can do biometrics when you come back.

Have you ever taken a bus from cancun to belize or from san jose costa rica to belize

Have you ever taken a bus from cancun to belize or from san jose costa rica to belize?
I've read some online blogs about taking the busses, it seems fairly easy enough in theory, I am just wondering if anyone here has ever done it. We are two women in our mid twenties, and just want to make sure its safe. We may take a flight back, but are looking to cut down on cost, see some scenery and have an experience in the process. If you have taken the bus, how long did it take? Its esitimated at seven hours, but the busses stop often which they say will add "quite a bit" to the trip... do you know what quite a bit might mean? And finally... I know that the last stop is at the border. However, what kind of area is this? We have a friend whose family lives there and can come pick us up, but we just don't want to be stranded in the middle of nowhere until they can get there.

Your best bet is to fly into Omaha's Epply Airport and rent a car and drive to Sioux Falls. That is what I did on vacation a few years ago. My vacation included a few days in both cities. It's about a three hour drive from Omaha to Sioux Falls. Both cities are very nice to visit. You can get a much better airfare into Omaha than Sioux Falls since it's a bigger airport with more flights departing and arriving. Southwest usually has some of the best airfares and sales. Go to http://www.southwest.com and check it out.

Are there any sales that may show up before August this year that will show better plane fares? I currently know of $293 round trip for August 9 thru 17. Thanks. Flights to Liberia are limited. You can book flights on Sansa airlines from SJO which leave at 6 a.m. 11:37 a.m. and 5 p.m. Nature Air which flies from another airport in San Jose has a 2 p.m. flight. You can book both via the internet. The cost is about $90 each way. i think both limit total baggage weight to 25 kilos.

Fly or drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio

Fly or drive from San Jose to Manuel Antonio?
I'm traveling in mid-May and flights seem to be a little scarce I'm guessing since it's the green season so I only have one flight to make it to my hotel that afternoon but I could probably make it at the same time by driving as well. Do the regional flights ever get delayed or canceled altogether because of rain? Should I just drive instead? Well my flight doesn't arrive in SJO until noon so that only leaves one flight out to Quepos for us on Sansa at 3pm which technically I could drive and get there at the same time. So just debating which is the lesser evil :)

I have not flown, but did drive.... people I know who flew said it was a quick flight over jungle, and interesting sightseeing The drive was a multi-hour ordeal, even in a four-wheel drive. Do-able, as long as you have good nerves. I think the best part was the bridge we went over with a sign that said "no se bane" and a picture of a crocodile....sure enough, down on the mud flats, there they were lounging around, maybe waiting for a sceptical tourist for dinner

By fly to MA, you mean Quepos, right? There is no landing strip in MA. The flight is about 1/2 an hour. It's bumpy but pretty fun. There are rarely delays due to rain. They will fly through it unless it gets really nasty, but it rarely does. It's usually a light to medium rain. Which flights are scarce? To CR or within CR? Nature Air has 2 flights SJ-Quepos daily, 9am and 11am. If you book now, you can get fares as low as $35 each way (plus tax). www.natureair.com Sansa has 5 flights daily to Quepos, starting at 7am until 3pm. They charge $50 each way. www.flysansa.com Driving is not horrendous any more with the new highway, much quicker than before. It will take you about 3+/- hours, if you take the new highway (which sometimes closes for days at a time if there's a lot of rain and there's landslides). Another option would be to spend the first night in San Jose and take off early the next morning. The rain doesn't start till mid-day. The mornings are usually nice. No issues driving or flying. --EDIT-- I would fly. But not till the next morning, personally. But unlike most, I like San Jose. I am not scared, disgusted, or grossed out by it. I know a few places to go have fun so it works for me. If you're getting in at noon, you might as well drive since you'll wait 2+ hours for Sansa anyway. The whole point of flying (for me) is to save time, but if you are gonna wait 2 hours, you might as well get on the road. Stop at a roadside place to eat, some great little places. BUT LOCK THE CAR AND DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING VALUEABLE IN PLAIN SIGHT (EVEN IF ONLY GOING IN FOR A MINUTE).
3 :
in may we have rainy season so is not a good idea to take a flight, though it takes like 30 minutes from SJ to MA,i recommend you to drive so you can see the country, its tired to drive all the way down to MA but its worth it. you also need experience on bumpy roads and you can't trust the GPS all the time
4 :
I'd suggest the drive. Its not everyday that you are in Costa Rica so why not enjoy the scenery and company you are with? Think....ROAD TRIP! Pura vida.

Manuel Antonio may be Costa Rica’s best-known tourist destination, but it is also about three and a half hours away by car from the international airport in San Jose. There are several choices for getting from one point to the other, and regardless of what method you prefer, you are sure to enjoy a unique travel experience. There is no doubt that Manuel Antonio is a great vacation spot that offers an impressive variety of activities for people of all ages and inclinations. With careful planning, you can solve many problems and truly enjoy your visit. For the most part, you’ll avoid the crowds if you plan your trip from April through November, rather than during the peak months. If that isn’t possible, at least remember that families and young people from San Jose flock to the beach on weekends. By air Since it only involves a 20-minute flight that leaves frequently from the airport, this is the quickest way to reach San Antonio. It is also the favorite method of travel for high-end tourists who plan on staying at the resort’s four-star hotels and visiting its luxurious spas. Some travelers tend to become anxious since the planes are quite small, and the amount of luggage they can store may also be limited. Those who choose this option will land in Quepos, which is serviced by Grupo Taca and Sansa Airlines, and go onto Manuel Antonio by cab from there. By Bus Any visitor who has a strong desire to experience the country’s culture will find that taking the bus is the best choice for them. The fares are very reasonable, and the express bus, which leaves from the Coca Cola terminal, will also get you there in three and a half hours. You won’t need a reservation, the bus leaves three times daily, and you will enjoy the both ride and the scenery. By Car If you are the adventuresome type and like to set out on your own, you should probably rent a car in San Jose. As a rule, driving in Costa Rica is not a problem, but you will notice at once that the roads aren’t as clearly marked as they are in the United States and other countries. Because the road to Quepos is bumpy and wildlife from the rainforest crosses the road, you will want a car with four-wheel drive. The ride is very picturesque, and you can visit rainforest “lookouts and small restaurants along the way. Leaving the airport and getting on to Highway1 can be tricky. Once you do, you will be heading west and exit at the sign that reads “to Alajuela. First, you will looping back toward the airport, and when the road splits, take the exit for San Ramon, which is on the left. Leave Highway 1 at the Atenas sign, continue until you reach Orotina and exit when you get to the Jaco sign. (There will be no more turns until you arrive in Manuel Antonio.) By Private Transportation While this may be the most expensive way to travel in Costa Rica, it will also give you peace of mind because you won’t be concerned about getting directions, damaging the car, road conditions, or break-ins, as you will if you rent a car. While the cars might not be too fancy, this is essentially the equivalent to a limo or chauffeur service.

BUT LOCK THE CAR AND DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING VALUEABLE IN PLAIN SIGHT (EVEN IF ONLY GOING IN FOR A MINUTE).

in may we have rainy season so is not a good idea to take a flight, though it takes like 30 minutes from SJ to MA,i recommend you to drive so you can see the country, its tired to drive all the way down to MA but its worth it. you also need experience on bumpy roads and you can't trust the GPS all the time

The ride is very picturesque, and you can visit rainforest “lookouts” and small restaurants along the way. Leaving the airport and getting on to Highway1 can be tricky. Once you do, you will be heading west and exit at the sign that reads “to Alajuela.” First, you will looping back toward the airport, and when the road splits, take the exit for San Ramon, which is on the left.
